"Golden Horizon Home 1 was a very pleasant experience during extremely difficult times. My husband suffered some health issues that were complications of a previous stroke. The issues led to profound weakness and a stay in a rehab facility. He regained some strength, but upon discharge from the rehab facility I was still not able to provide the care he needed.

I knew our best option was a residential Board and Care home. Before choosing Golden Horizon I visited a number of homes and questioned my decision for this type of placement until I found Golden Horizon. Everything about the home felt right from my first visit. The owner and care staff were very welcoming. The home was clean and cheerful and they offered private rooms which was a priority for us.

My husband spent a number of months as a resident. During that time the staff provided excellent care and individualized help as needed. They were very accommodating to any requests regarding his food and exercise needs. I visited frequently and was always welcome as were his friends and family. There was always plenty of staff available to meet the needs of everyone. Thanks to their caring ways and the family atmosphere, my husband regained lost strength and mobility and was able to return home."

"Golden Horizon Home is indeed a home away from home. Our Grandma has been living there for the past 2 years. She is well loved by the caregivers. Everyone is so caring, kind, gentle, and loving with their interactions with the residents. The daily menu offers a variety of dishes to meet her dietary needs and can be individualized if necessary. Activities are also individualized to the residents’ interests and activity level. The home allows for a lot of room to walk around, get a breath of fresh air, and enjoy the scenery of the rolling countryside. The environment is very welcoming for friends and visitors. Our family is so happy we found Golden Horizon Home!"
